THE NEW YORK TOP 30 REGGAE  COUNTOWN
Friday: 5:00 – 6:00p.m.
Host: Marlon

Compiled by Clinton Lindsay, The NY Top 30 Reggae Chart, is the oldest  compilation of Reggae songs serving the local market. Started back in 1976, on WTNY FM, when Mr. Lindsay was a freshman student at New York Institute Of Technology. Back then it was the NY Top 10, and it remained the NY Top 10 after he joined the staff of WHBI 105.9 FM in 1982. On January 6, 1986, it became the WNWK Top 20 Reggae Chart. In January 2000, it was extended to the New York Top 30 Reggae Chart. Over the years, to get an idea on how an artist is doing in the local ethnic market, major record companies would request the chart history of artists they intend to sign.  In 1998, TK Smith took over hosting the countdown, until his untimely passing on March 16, 2008.

THE SOUTH FLORIDA TOP 25 REGGAE COUNTDOWN
Thursday: 5:00 – 6:00p.m.

Host: Marlon

The South Florida Top 20 Reggae Chart was launched on February 5, 2003, on VIBZ FM, in Miramar. Again, the same formula used to compile the NY chart – getting sale figures from local outlets – is used in this compilation. Aside from Mr. Lindsay, other hosts include The Bigger Boss, DJ Donovan, and Marlon.

THE FOUNDATION
Monday – Friday 12:00noon – 4:00p.m.
Host: Clinton Lindsay

With over 30 years of radio experience, Mr. Lindsay has a huge collection of tunes, which plays an important role to his daily presentation. His reputation of introducing so many artists to the air waves has followed him to this day, that he is still flooded with new material from today’s upcoming producers and artists, alike. The Foundation “where it all begins” has been his vehicle for the past 15 years to showcase these talents. Here is a man that has a lot of history up his sleeves. He was there when it was happening! Nobody gives the story behind the song like Mr. Lindsay does. On Thursdays, he opens up his vault for listeners to make that special request. He coins the phase “the library is opened” but cautions that not every library has every book!

Wherever Mr. Lindsay takes The Foundation, he also takes his 15-year relationship with west coast-based public relation expert and journalist Russell Gerlach, with him. Russell provides the latest happenings on the Reggae scene – especially on the west coast – to The Foundation’s listeners. If there is breaking news, you can depend on Russell to immediately check in with The Foundation. His regular time slot is 3:00p.m., but with breaking news, he can link at any time.
